Protecting wild Pacific salmon for future generations across BC, Wild First aims to spearhead the removal of open-net pen salmon farms from BC waters with its tagline #endthepens. In 2021, Wild First launched a campaign encouraging people to sign the Wild First Pledge to end open-net pen salmon farming in coastal BC waters and ensure the federal government followed through on it's commitment to transition by 2025.​

Our Wild First Voices campaign aims to amplify the voices of 28 diverse stakeholders, including commercial fishers, First Nations, independent scientists, wilderness tourism operators, chefs supporting wild Pacific salmon, youth and community leaders. See all the voices for putting wild Pacific salmon first.

We have also developed over 50 digital, print and radio advertisements illustrating the detrimental effects of ocean-polluting Atlantic salmon farms and emphasizing what we all have to lose if we lose wild Pacific salmon​.

This work has resulted in over 300,000 signed pledges and over 200,000 letters sent to local BC MPs, the Fisheries Minister and the Prime Minister.
